Amazon MX Player is the result of Amazon buying MX Player and folding its own miniTV service into it. Unlike almost everything else on this list, it is not freemium: the service is ad-supported from end to end, with no subscription to upgrade to. That makes it the single best starting point if your budget is zero. One caveat matters more than any catalogue detail: Amazon is currently merging it into Prime Video, so the app is mid-transition and what you see may shift over the next few months.
